Erik Schlögl Wildlife and Travel Photography

Photography is a passion of mine, first and foremost under water, but also of the natural world in general, with a bit of general travel photography thrown in.

My photographs have been published in numerous books, magazines and newspapers. The highest accolade I’ve received so far was a “Highly Commended” in the Gerald Durrell Award for Endangered Wildlife category of the Natural History Museum/BBC Wildlife Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition 2002 – still hoping for a repeat performance!

A lot of my fish photographs have found a use on the Australian Museum’s fish site . I’ve also started contributing photos of taxonomic interest to the Encyclopedia of Life via my Flickr photostream .
